Job summary

Clean Harbors Aragonite, UT Incinerator is seeking an I&E Technician Intern for Summer 2027. This in-person internship at the Aragonite facility offers hands-on exposure to environmental, energy, and industrial services projects under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Start dates are May 17th or May 24th, with internships running through August. The program emphasizes safety, mentorship, and real-world project involvement to support academic and early career goals.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in a two-year I&E program, electrical engineering, or other relevant field at an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of P&IDs and electrical schematics preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, stoop, bend, stand for prolonged periods, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Assist in troubleshooting instruments and control system malfunctions
• Shadow technicians performing preventative maintenance checks, calibrations, and inspections
• Support work on cabling, power distribution systems, switchgear, and motor control centers
• Gain exposure to substation equipment and medium voltage electrical systems
• Maintain accurate records and logs as required
• Verify and update P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation

Clean Harbors Aragonite, UT Incinerator is seeking an I&E Technician Intern to join our safety-focused team. This internship provides students with the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while supporting real projects that contribute to business priorities across our environmental, energy, and industrial services operations. We are searching for a reliable and team-oriented individual with an excellent commitment to safety to join our growing team during Summer 2027!

This internship is an in‑person opportunity based at our Aragonite Incinerator and is not eligible for remote work. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to our industry, and develop practical skills that support their academic and early career goals.

Start dates for our Summer 2027 Internship Program are May 17th or May 24th of 2027. Internships will run through the summer and end in August.
