Clean Harbors El Dorado, AR Incinerator seeks an I&E Technician Intern for Summer 2027. This in-person internship at the El Dorado facility runs May 17 or May 24 through August, offering hands-on exposure to environmental, energy, and industrial services.

You will work with experienced professionals, shadow technicians, and gain practical skills while supporting real projects and a strong safety culture at Clean Harbors.

Qualifications

• P&IDs and electrical schematics knowledge preferred.
• Currently pursuing a two-year I&E or electrical engineering program.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority by following all safe-work practices.
• Assist in troubleshooting instruments and control system malfunctions.
• Shadow technicians performing preventative maintenance, calibrations, and inspections.
• Support cabling, power distribution, switchgear, and motor control center work.
• Gain exposure to substation equipment and medium voltage systems.
• Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
• Verify and update P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation.
