Job summary

Clean Harbors El Dorado, AR Incinerator is offering a Receiving Technician Intern role, based in El Dorado, AR. This in-person Summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience working with safety-focused teams on environmental, energy, and industrial services projects.

Start dates are May 17th or May 24th, 2027, and programs run through August. Interns will gain exposure to field operations, safety briefings, and project coordination while developing practical skills for their early career

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in chemistry, environmental sciences, or other relevant field at an accredited college or university.
• Advanced chemistry knowledge is a plus.
• Strong interest in learning about the environmental services industry.
• Ability to document, record, and analyze data and information.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other relevant technical tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Health and Safety as the top priority by following all safe work practices and procedures.
• Learn to use proper PPE to sample waste in shipping containers and label materials.
• Shadow chemists to learn receiving, sampling, and waste analysis.
• Update SOP documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
