Job summary

Linde Inc. in Freeport, TX is seeking an I&E Technician to identify and perform maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and analytical equipment. You will diagnose issues, make technical decisions, and elevate concerns to management as needed.

Install, repair, and modify mechanical systems and maintain detailed CMMS records. The role requires 5+ years in an industrial setting, ability to read equipment drawings, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an industrial production environment.
• Ability to interpret equipment drawings.
• Functional computer skills.
• Ability to support on-call responsibilities in a 24/7 operating environment.
• Willingness to support multiple facilities within the Texas City/Houston Ship Channel area.

Responsibilities

• Identify and complete planned and unplanned maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, and analytical equipment.
• Diagnose issues, make technical decisions, and elevate concerns to management when necessary.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and systems (pumps, piping, valves, etc.).
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machine tools to perform maintenance and repair activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment by identifying malfunctions and replacing components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
• Create, update, and maintain accurate work order and maintenance history records.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory to support onsite mechanical equipment reliability.
• Maintain the shop and parts warehouse in a safe and organized condition.
• Complete predictive and corrective maintenance activities within the CMMS.
