Job summary

OC2 Occidental Chemical Corporation in Wichita, KS is seeking a skilled Instrument & Electrical Technician to maintain and repair plant instrumentation, control systems, and analyzers. You will diagnose issues, work with vendors, and perform preventative maintenance to support safe operations.

The role requires 3+ years technical experience, proficiency in loop drawings, schematics, ladder logic, and P&ID drawings, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years technical experience.
• Must be proficient with loop drawings, schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line and P&ID drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain environmental, health and safety protections as a priority.
• Install, maintain, inspect and repair plant instrumentation, controls and analyzers.
• Diagnose minor problems promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Consult with equipment vendors for resolutions as needed.
• Operate limited shop tools and test equipment for installation or maintenance.
• Conduct evaluation tests on valves, motors, and instruments.
• Troubleshoot 24V DC/120V AC controls and switch gear.
• Research material specs and repair instrumentation equipment.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and man-lifts.
