The Position

The I&E Technician performs predictive, preventive, and repair maintenance activities to support safe, compliant, and reliable plant operations. This may include planned or unplanned activities, and the technician may direct contracted maintenance providers as the owner’s representative.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety and Life Saving Rules daily.
• Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and actively participate in safety performance improvements.
• Support site profitability, regulatory compliance, and product quality through maintenance best practices and asset improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot asset performance issues, propose reliability improvements, and optimize costs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS system.
• Develop proficiency with necessary software including Microsoft Office, SAP, and other applications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or technical degree in Industrial Electrical, Instrumentation, or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process instrumentation/electrical trades in chemical or petrochemical plants, or 3 years with a technical degree.
• Certifications from trade schools or professional organizations preferred, e.g., NCCER, Texas Electrician Journeyman’s license.

Technical Skills

• Maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting of process instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical and process control diagrams and troubleshoot PLC/DCS logic.
• Work safely on AC and DC systems, motor control circuits, VFDs, and support plant operations.

Physical Demands

Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, lift up to 25 lbs., and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
