Job summary

IFF is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for the Jacksonville, FL site. The role is on-site and focuses on supporting mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance tasks to keep the production floor running safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical/electrical maintenance knowledge, safety focus, and the ability to work well with maintenance teams to drive reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or maintenance environments is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or facility maintenance.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.
• Follow instructions and work under supervision with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance technicians with mechanical, electrical, civil, and general maintenance tasks.
• Support installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Assemble, move, and transport materials handling and maintenance equipment as required.
• Prepare work areas and job sites to ensure maintenance activities are safe and efficient.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, inspections, and basic repairs.
• Support facility improvement projects including drain cleaning, concrete work, and partition installation.
• Help with basic electrical tasks, including wiring under supervision.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental, and company procedures.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Assist maintenance technicians with mechanical, electrical, civil, and general maintenance activities throughout the facility.
• Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment, utilities, office equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Assemble, move, and transport materials handling and maintenance equipment as required.
• Prepare work areas and job sites to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as equipment lubrication, inspections, and basic repairs.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or maintenance environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or facility maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment, including wrenches, pipe benders, cutters, and similar tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the guidance of skilled maintenance personnel.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and facilities teams.
