Job summary

International Flavors and Fragrances is seeking a maintenance technician in Jacksonville, FL for on-site work to support mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance activities.

You will assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and help with site projects while upholding safety and quality standards. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely use common maintenance and trade tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and support rotating schedules as needed.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle maintenance materials and equipment safely.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance personnel with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and facility maintenance activities.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production and plant equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and calibration tasks.
• Help assemble, transport, and install material handling and maintenance equipment.
• Support facility maintenance projects including site preparation, drain cleaning, concrete work, and minor construction activities.
• Assist in repairing pumps, piping systems, motors, valves, and other production equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with safety and quality documentation requirements.
• Contribute to a safe work environment by following all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Exposure to PLCs, instrumentation, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), or welding activities.
