Seaboard Energy seeks an Instrument & Electrical Technician to join a collaborative maintenance team. You will install, maintain, and repair plant instrumentation and electrical equipment, respond to on-call needs, and document equipment data files to support plant wellbeing.
Responsibilities include calibrating sensors, maintaining motors and DCS/PLC systems, and writing work orders in line with safety rules.
The Instrument & Electrical Technician will be required to work in a team environment to accomplish the maintenance objectives identified by the Maintenance Superintendent. They are responsible for the safe and proper installation maintenance and repair of plant instrumentation and electrical equipment. Duties include responding to plant needs during scheduled on-call, maintaining adequate documentation of equipment data files, and contributing to overall plant wellbeing.
Lift 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to move from place to place in all areas of facility. Must be able to climb ladders or platforms and enter confined spaces. Must be able to wear all safety equipment.
Work environment varies from an office, plant production areas and outside climate conditions based on the situation. Noise level varies upon which area of production employee is working in.
Typical work schedule will be 4 ten-hour days with a 4 day weekend every other week. Candidate must be available and flexible to work overtime and to cover sickness and vacations of other technicians. Occasional changes in schedule will be required as special circumstances arise.
