Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Actively pursuing own growth/career development through self-initiative practices; working with resources made available as coordinated with the supervisor.
2. Instills safety in others by being safety minded; models good safety practices.
3. Fosters open communication amongst all facility technicians in relation to best practices, operational/facility needs, safety issues/concerns, conflicts of interest between shifts/other departments, sharing operational knowledge/expertise.
4. Assists/works closely with lead production technician, maintenance coordinator or plant manager with daily facility needs.
5. Follows policies/procedures on proper notification for vacation scheduling, floating holidays, personal days off.
6. Oversee instrumentation and/or electrical jobs with contractors and monitor contractor work quality (sign timesheets, manage housekeeping, inspect JQP's and Permits).
7. Conduct controls troubleshooting and repair, conduct electrical troubleshooting and repair, conduct instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs, conduct analyzer troubleshooting and repairs.
8. Responsible for conducting housekeeping during, throughout, and at the end of job tasks.
9. Actively participate in RCA's as required.
10. Participate in the execution and improvement of the facility's I&E PMs.
11. Execute work orders, identify corrective maintenance items and enter work orders into Maximo.
12. Identify I&E critical equipment and critical spare parts for the facility. Manage the spare part inventory for these items.
13. Maintain test equipment calibration and associated records.
14. Maintain I&E and Analyzer equipment records in both Maximo and in written form.
15. Maintain facility P&ID schematics.
16. Responsible for preventative maintenance and reliability programs for instrumentation on rotating and stationary equipment.
17. Maintain electrical drawing redlines based on management of change projects.
18. Troubleshoot plant electrical, controls, instrumentation and analyzer issues when required in a timely manner.
19. Able to manage I&E contractors that come onsite to support major turnarounds or CAP projects.
20. Support additional maintenance and operational issues as requested by management.
21. Write equipment repair procedures and standard job procedures; assist when consulted in the MOC process.

Required Qualifications:

1. Working knowledge of instrumentation.
2. Working knowledge of analyzers.
3. Maximo experience preferred.
4. 5-7 years experience.
5. Associates degree preferred.
