Atlas Energy Solutions is seeking an I&E Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation, electrical distribution, and control systems across field, shop, and outdoor environments in West Texas. How You Will Make an Impact:

The I&E Technician installs, troubleshoots, and maintains the instrumentation, electrical distribution, and control systems that keep Atlas operations running safely and reliably. Working from engineering standards, drawings, and schematics, this role calibrates and tests control devices, maintains motor control equipment, and documents every result accurately. Safety discipline and sound electrical judgment are central to the role, which also provides technical direction and quality oversight to third-party contractors performing work on site.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and smart instrumentation, electrical distribution systems, motor control equipment, and the associated equipment software.
• Read and interpret manuals, company policies, engineering standards, regulatory requirements, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings.
• Perform testing and calibration of control devices and document the results accurately.
• Use software tools to troubleshoot, configure, and support control solutions.
• Provide technical direction and oversight to third-party contractors, and inspect their completed work for quality and compliance with Atlas standards.
• Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and follow all permit and safe-work requirements.
• Comply with all Atlas Energy Solutions safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and report hazards promptly.
• Provide accurate written and electronic reporting of work performed, findings, and equipment status.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5 years of instrumentation and electrical experience required
• Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motors
• Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutions
• Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of instrumentation and electrical hand tools, meters, and calibration equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings and schematics
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred:

• Technical certificate or associate degree in instrumentation, electrical technology, or a related discipline
• Experience in industrial, mining, manufacturing, energy, or heavy equipment operations
• journeyman electrician license preferred

Work Location & Travel Requirements

• Location: West Texas
• Work Environment: Field, Shop, and Outdoors; industrial plant environment with limited climate control
• Travel %: 50

Schedule/Work Arrangement: Rotational schedule (Most likely 14/7) To be determined

Physical Demands

• Regular use of hands to handle, finger, and reach materials, tools, and equipment
• Required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed, including work at elevation and in confined spaces
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and heavier items with appropriate assistance or mechanical equipment
• Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to tolerate conditions associated with field and plant environments, including heat, cold, dust, noise, and limited climate control
