Job summary

Atlas Energy Solutions Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide professional service and support for customers, overseeing field service installation, startup, repairs, and maintenance for generators.

Travel within the designated region, outdoor work, and on-call responsibilities are required. The role emphasizes diagnostic testing, repairs, quoting, and coordinating service dates with lease operators.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in field environments.
• Aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair.
• Experience servicing equipment.
• Time management and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and customer service.
• Able to read and follow complex manuals and report findings.
• Valid driver’s license and legal work status in the US.
• Drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of power generation systems and components, diagnose malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot, perform diagnostic testing, load-bank testing, start-ups, and preventive maintenance on generators.
• Interpret schematics and manuals for repair tasks.
• Prepare quotes for repairs and submit work orders.
• Coordinate service dates with lease operators at customer sites.
• Maintain reliability and operation of the unit fleet.
• Be on-call to meet department scheduling needs.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in trainings.
• Use the correct tools safely and report incidents.
• Follow all policies and procedures and assist supervisor as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

How You Will Make an Impact:

TheField Service Technician provides professional service and support for customers by overseeing field service installation, startup, repairs, and maintenance for generators. Must be willing to work in all outdoor climates, be on call, and travel to various customers within their designated region.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain working knowledge of power generation systems and its components, including knowledge of the mechanical operation, associated hazards, and proper usage of the equipment to troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot, perform diagnostic testing, load-bank testing, start-ups on generators, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on generator systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics and operational manuals for practical application on repair and maintenance tasks.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs and complete/submit work orders.
• Coordinate service dates with lease operators of customer site
• Maintain reliability and working order of unit fleet.
• Required to be part of an on-call rotation to meet scheduling needs of the department.
• Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
• Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
• Use the correct tools and use them safely.
• Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Abide by all policies and procedures.
• Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
• An aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair.
• Demonstrated experience with servicing equipment.
• Time management and organizational skills with the ability to work alone.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Read and follow complex directions in manuals and relay information in reports.
• Must treat everyone equally with respect and dignity.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to work legally in the US.
• Pass a drug screening.
