Job summary

Alta Performance Materials US, LLC on Neville Island, PA is seeking an Instrument & Electrician Mechanic to join our plant maintenance team. You will perform corrective and preventive maintenance, read P&ID and electrical diagrams, troubleshoot 120V AC and 4-20mA controls, and support safe operation of plant equipment.

You'll work with production personnel and contractors, comply with OSHA regulations, and participate in turnarounds and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Read and understand P&ID and electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings and manuals.
• Proficient in troubleshooting 120V AC and 4-20mA controls, 480V motors and switch gear.
• Willing to learn other general mechanical maintenance tasks (boiler operation, pump maintenance, piping).
• Comfortable working at height with harness & lanyard.
• Knowledge of safe tool operation.

• Perform corrective and daily maintenance activities as assigned.
• Participate in preventive maintenance program.
• Repair and troubleshoot equipment; assist in planning plant turnarounds.

This position is also accountable for the proper operation of plant equipment. Inadequate performance could result in injuries to the employee, people around, the community or the environment. Poor performance can also cause damage to equipment, and downtime. This would cause loss of product or product out of specifications.
