Job summary

Eastman in Pensacola seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Mechanic to maintain and repair industrial instrumentation and electrical equipment. The role requires responding to call-outs and overtime as needed, with a focus on safe, efficient, and proficient operations.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve control systems, valves, transmitters, controllers, and DCS, while supporting preventative maintenance and plant turnarounds with strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical or Instrumentation preferred.
• 2+ years in industrial chemical or related manufacturing env; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong background in control and instrumentation incl. DCS systems.
• Troubleshooting electronic and digital process control systems.
• Knowledge of level, temp, pressure, flow measurement; pneumatic/electronic instrumentation.
• Reading blueprints, specs, loop diagrams and P&IDs.
• MS Office proficiency; OSHA safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation and equipment.
• Respond to call-outs and work overtime as needed.
• Investigate failures to determine root causes and implement solutions.
• Assist in preventive maintenance programs.
• Participate in chemical plant turnarounds.
