Job summary

Canadian Breaks Consulting LLC in Amarillo, TX seeks an I&E Construction Manager to oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical, building management, and controls systems for mission-critical facilities, from pre-construction through commissioning and turnover.

This role requires 6+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and proficiency with project management software.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in electrical systems incl. BMS, instrumentation and controls.
• Experience with construction project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6.
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre‑construction for electrical systems, including scope definition, constructability review, budgeting, and schedule development.
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules and look‑ahead plans for all electrical work, aligning manpower, materials, and tools.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to review P&IDs, isometrics, BIM models, and tool/MEP layouts, resolving RFIs and field clashes early.
• Manage trade partners and internal crews, clearly defining scopes, interfaces, and responsibilities for work in cleanrooms, data halls, and utility areas.
• Monitor project performance, including cost, change orders, productivity, and key metrics, implementing corrective actions to protect budget and schedule.
• Coordinate activities with other mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and critical equipment installations to support mission‑critical uptime and commissioning milestones.
• Provide regular status reports and risk/mitigation updates to internal leadership and clients, supporting readiness for commissioning and operations handover.

About the Role

Introduction

The I&E Construction Manager oversees planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical, building management, and controls systems that support technology facilities such as data centers, semiconductor fab facilities, advanced manufacturing, and cleanrooms. This role manages the full lifecycle of the electrical scope-from pre‑construction through commissioning and turnover-ensuring systems are installed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with stringent quality and cleanliness requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical systems including but not limited to BMS, instrumentation and controls, low voltage fiber, ect.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams) and have a strong understanding of working within a computer network.
• Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, and design drawings.
• Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method. Familiar with Construction Specifications Institutes (CSI) MasterFormat.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, and field practices.
• Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.

• Base Salary $150,000-$200,000
