Job summary

Volunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas seeks a Behavioral Support Professional (BSP) to provide direct clinical services, including assessment, interventions, and discharge planning, within I/DD residential programs.

The BSP will collaborate with the DSP to implement plans, document per BSP guidelines, and participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing certifications to support residents with dignity and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Provides behavioral and direct support services following accepted standards and best practices in I/DD services.
• Documents according to BSP guidelines and ensures DSPs document as well.
• Supports people per their Person-Centered Plan and attends meetings as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct supports per Person-Centered Plan.
• Document shifts and assist with support plans and meeting participation.
• Deliver supports ethically to promote dignity and satisfaction.
• Keep certifications and trainings current.
