Job summary

OpenRoad Collision is seeking a detail-oriented Body Technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition while delivering excellent customer care. The role involves frame/unibody work, welding, cosmetic repairs, and safe operation of shop equipment within a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of collision repair experience, I-CAR body repair and welding certification, and a valid driver’s license. Opportunity for growth and safety-focused culture offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of collision repair experience required.
• I-CAR Certification in body repair and welding preferred.
• OEM certification and knowledge of manufacturer repair processes valued.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret repair data and measurements.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate vehicles legally.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality vehicle repairs as outlined on repair orders in line with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair progress and requirements.
• Complete welding, frame/unibody alignment, body panel repairs, and cosmetic work.
• Operate frame machines and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
• Conduct Quality Control inspections upon completion of work.
• Mix chemicals and materials per manufacturer specifications.
• Adapt to a blueprint-style production model—may not disassemble vehicles personally.
