Job summary

ACWA POWER seeks an Instrumentation and Control Maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plant instrumentation and control systems. You will adhere to HSE guidelines and ACWA OPERATIONS procedures while ensuring reliable operation of critical equipment.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience with plant instrumentation, calibration, and fault diagnosis, with strong teamwork and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• A technical certificate or Associate’s Diploma in Instrument Engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience in instrument and control maintenance in a plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine preventative instrumentation and control maintenance according to ACWA OPERATIONS procedures.
• Monitor the physical condition of all systems and equipment and report non-conformances to Instrumentation and Control Supervisor.
• Respond to instrumentation and control failures and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and maximise functionality.
• Troubleshoot using necessary tools and spare parts including diagnosis, dismantling, repair, part change, checking, cleaning and reassembly to validate all instruments.
• Diagnose causes of malfunction or failure of operational equipment and take corrective measures in collaboration with Instrumentation and Control Supervisor.
• Read and understand technical manuals, control diagrams and system diagrams and apply the knowledge to maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Align, adjust and calibrate systems and equipment and maintain records of repairs, calibrations and tests.
