Job summary

Vistra in Odessa, TX is seeking a Plant Operator to operate plant equipment within specs and environmental rules, under supervision. You’ll learn plant systems and support safe, reliable operation across the gas plant.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety procedures and regulations. Candidates need at least 2 years of related experience and a high school diploma; POSS/MASS testing applies during selection.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of related experience.
• Successful candidate must complete POSS/MASS program per HR guidelines.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist/perform troubleshooting and maintenance on plant equipment to ensure proper function.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance including inspections and repairs.
• Follow safety, health, and environmental procedures including LOTO and JSA.
• Read and interpret basic electrical/instrumentation controls and diagrams.
