As an I&C Manufacturing Engineer with the Westinghouse Parts Business, you will help to support our WPB Fulfillment team in our New Stanton, PA location. The New Stanton site works on projects to bolster plant safety and reliability by providing the Instrumentation and Control (I&C), mechanical, and electro-mechanical products and services that our customers require. In this role, you will focus on production of I&C and electro-mechanical assemblies.
You will report to the Manager of I&C and Electrical Products and be located at the New Stanton facility.
Provide technical support to the production shop floor, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Design, select, and oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
Resolve obsolescence issues through the redesign of parts using current manufacturing technology.
Facilitate the disposition of quality issues on both purchased and manufactured parts.
Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements.
Provide technical input during the proposal process.
Work effectively as part of a cross-functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, and the supplier base.
A bachelor’s degree in electrical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering is required.
0-4 Years’ Experience.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control principles.
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
SAP knowledge, especially production, requisitioning, and material master data management.
Experience with writing technical requirements for the procurement of equipment and developing the input for these specifications.
