Job summary

World Wide Professional Solutions seeks an Instrumentation & Life Safety Systems Work Group Lead in North Phoenix, AZ to serve as the technical lead for I&C and LSS scopes on multi-discipline projects. You will oversee field execution, trade partner coordination, QA/QC alignment, and documentation completion.

The role requires senior-level experience with PLCs/DDC, low-voltage controls, and fire alarm systems, plus ability to coordinate with CG teams and client leads.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in instrumentation, controls, and life safety systems in construction/engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, DDC, and low-voltage systems in industrial environments.
• Familiarity with fire alarm and life safety requirements and cross-trade coordination.
• Ability to read control schematics, P&IDs, and related diagrams.
• Experience coordinating with multiple trade partners on active projects.
• Proficiency with redlines, submittals, and turnover documentation.
• Comfort with Bluebeam, BIM 360/ACC, and Excel tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for Instrumentation and Controls and Life Safety systems.
• Lead planning and execution of I&C and LSS scopes on projects.
• Provide field oversight to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
• Review installation methods and coordinate with mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Participate in submittal reviews, RFIs, and system integration discussions.
• Support QA/QC in inspection planning, test witnessing, and turnover.
• Coordinate with trade partners to maintain scope clarity and schedule.
• Assist in redlines, as-builts, and turnover documentation.
