Job summary

M3 Engineering & Technology Corp. in Chandler, AZ seeks a senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead the I&C department under the office manager, directing engineers and designers on project scope, schedule, and quality.

Responsibilities include designing PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, equipment selection, mentoring staff, and client interfacing, with travel opportunities to support projects domestically and abroad. PE licensed professionals are preferred.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a PE is required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in I&C engineering.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA design and integration.
• Familiarity with ISA standards and industrial networks.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; passport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations, and specifications for electrical and instrumentation.
• Design PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems and specify equipment and instruments.
• Lead project scope, schedule, budget, and team performance.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
• Support procurement and construction activities; interface with clients.
