Job summary

TerraPower seeks a Test & Fill Facility I&C Engineer to lead integration, commissioning, and support of instrumentation and controls systems for the Natrium program. This role collaborates with mechanical, nuclear safety, and operations teams to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable I&C design.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience for industrial or process facilities.
• Experience with design, configuration, and troubleshooting of industrial control systems (PLC, DCS, or safety PLC platforms).
• Experience generating I&C deliverables such as I/O lists, loop diagrams, control logic diagrams, and instrument specifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain I&C designs for the Test & Fill Facility across architecture, hardware, software, and networking.
• Maintain design docs: SRS, SDD, I/O lists, loop diagrams, control narratives, PFDs, P&IDs.
• Develop control strategies for process control, interlocks, alarms, and safety-related functions.
• Support FATs, SATs, and integrated system testing for I&C systems; troubleshoot field issues during construction and operation.
• Coordinate I&C interfaces with Natrium systems and ensure configuration alignment.
