Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a design/construction-focused Instrumentation and Controls Specialist for on-site work in Boise, ID. You’ll develop I&C/LSS design packages, coordinate with team members, and support startup activities to ensure project success.

You will work on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities, applying knowledge of PLC/DCS systems, and contribute to safety and reliability throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent engineering/science degree.
• At least 2 years of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) / Life Safety Systems (LSS) experience.
• Ability to generate complete I&C/LSS design packages with minimal supervision/oversight.
• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical circuits and panels using control applications.
• Develop control system designs for various processes and optimize instrumentation and automation.
• Provide on-site startup support and coordinate tasks with the discipline lead.
• Ensure schedule adherence and technical quality of engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful projects.
