Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Minneapolis seeks an experienced Instrumentation & Control engineer to select and integrate I&C components, perform design calculations, and ensure the safety of SIS and Safety Related Systems.

You will prepare DVP&R, conduct HAZOP & LOPA, support production on the shop floor, interact with clients, and contribute to product validation and DFMA efforts across NA projects. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• HAZOP & LOPA experience required.
• Strong understanding of NA Electrical & Safety standards.
• Experience with UL508, UL508A, NFPA79, NFPA 70, NEC, CSA, OSHA.
• Experience with IEC/IEEE electrical design standards.
• DFMA experience.
• Project management experience.
• Experience in international engineering teams.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Do the instrumentation & control component’s selection and integration.
• Do the design calculations for control devices and instruments.
• Ensure the functional safety of Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems.
• Prepare the DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report).
• Do the HAZOP & LOPA.
• Perform the DFMA for Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems.
• Interact with shop floor technicians/manufacturing team to support the production build.
• Interact with clients and solve the technical design issues.
• Write the Test Request for product validation.
• Work with technicians/vendors to complete the product validation.
