Job summary

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. The CSU Engineer will help direct commissioning of control systems, valves, and instrumentation, coordinating with engineering, construction, vendors, and operations to ensure safety and on-schedule handover.

Applicants should have a mechanical engineering degree and up to several years of related experience in mission-critical facilities; strong knowledge of DCS, BMS, LSS, PLCs, and safety practices is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in mechanical engineering or related discipline with less than 1 year of relevant experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience in mission critical facilities.
• Ability to read P&ID’s, network drawings and schematics, instrumentation data sheets and calibration records, and control valve drawings.
• Knowledge of DCS, BMS, LSS, PLCs, control valves, instruments and transmitters.

Responsibilities

• Support basic Startup Specialist duties of installation configuration validation and work package development.
• Assist with planning CSU activities, startup work packages, and test packages.
• Support turnover walkdowns and interface with the Field Engineer to enable component/system turnover.
• Assist in drafting contract changes and tracking quantities as required.
