Job summary

Hilcorp is seeking a Co-Op student to assist the Production Regulatory Analysts with routine clerical, accounting, and administrative tasks in daily production operations. You will gain hands-on experience in state and federal oil, gas, and water production reporting, and learn key production/master data systems.

During the program, you will refine data validation, auditing, and regulatory filing skills while collaborating with Operations, Land, Revenue, Environmental, and Production Accounting

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university or college.

Assists the production regulatory analysts with routine clerical, accounting, and administrative responsibilities in the management of daily production operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Production Regulatory Analysts with preparing monthly state and federal oil, gas, and water production reports.
• Learn the production accounting and regulatory reporting systems used to maintain production master data.
• Assist with entering and updating production information, gas analyses, well attributes, and regulatory master data.
• Support preparation of state well tests and other routine regulatory filings.
• Assist with production audits, third-party audits, and monthly production verification reports.
• Coordinate, organize, scan, and maintain regulatory files and electronic records.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between production systems and regulatory reports.
• Assist with maintaining production reporting documentation and supporting audit records.
• Learn production facility flows and how production data impacts regulatory reporting.
• Support special projects involving data cleanup, system testing, reporting improvements, and processing documentation.
• Assist in researching production discrepancies and resolving data issues under supervision.
• Perform routine clerical, accounting, and administrative responsibilities supporting the Production Regulatory group.
