Job summary

Becton Dickinson NA Columbus, NE is seeking a Full Time Manufacturing Operator to join our on-site team. You will perform product inspection, operate equipment, and support clean rooms while adhering to GMP and quality standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (or two years manufacturing experience), ability to read and write English, and a willingness to work flexible shifts. Prior experience with SAP/MES data entry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train within the department to support business needs.

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements and clean room area and equipment cleaning / sanitizing
• Perform visual inspections
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment
• Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning
• Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment
• Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks
• Perform rework
• Cross train where needed within the department to support the business
• Maintain all quality and GMP standards
• Perform needed SAP data entries
• May require the use of 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges
• Participate on blitz teams as assigned
• Achieving established production goals
• Ensuring the quality of all product produced
• Performing quality checks as designated
• Ability to function as part of a team
• Processing SAP and MES transactions for department
• Assisting in the BDA process to identify root causes
• Maintain compliance with all required document training
• Operate lines in a safe and efficient manner
• Drive department results by reducing downtime and completing tasks in an efficient manner
• Maximize efficient time usage in the department
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Education:

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• In lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required

Experience:

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Previous experience with MES preferred
• Previous experience with precision measuring instruments preferred
