Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Test Engineer to support AEDC at Arnold AFB, TN. The role is onsite and centers on planning, executing, and analyzing hypersonic ground tests, including data from facilities such as APTU.

The candidate will develop test plans and safety packages, analyze propulsion data, and utilize data acquisition tools to evaluate high-speed systems. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace/Mechanical Eng or related field, with 3+ years of experience.
• Associate degree with 8+ years of experience accepted.
• High School diploma with 12+ years of experience accepted.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Support the 715th Test Squadron at AEDC in planning, execution, and analysis of hypersonic aeropropulsion ground testing.
• Analyze aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and propulsion data from facilities (APTU).
• Develop test plans, test matrices, and safety packages with engineers and stakeholders.
• Use data acquisition systems and post-test data reduction tools to evaluate scramjet, ramjet, and other high-speed propulsion performance.
