Job summary

Leidos Albuquerque Hypersonics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop electromechanical assemblies, including electronics enclosures, mobile platforms, and machined parts.

You will collaborate with a team, contribute to requirements and design reviews, and ensure on-time delivery for defense programs. A Master’s or BS with extensive experience and a security clearance are required; relocation to Albuquerque, NM is expected if needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field with 10 years of experience or BS degree and 12 years of expereince.
• 5 years of applicable experience or internships
• Mechanical design experience
• 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems
• Must possess active DOD S (DOE L) or higher security clearance.
• Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Albuquerque, NM area.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, including: Electronics enclosures and packaging.
• Mobile platforms, machined and sheet metal parts, 3D printed parts.
• Contribute to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions, on time.
• Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews.
