Job summary

Verity Integrated Systems is seeking a Flight Software Lead Engineer to own the architecture, development, and testing of flight software for hypersonic vehicle programs. You will drive real-time embedded software across guidance, navigation, and control interfaces, coordinating with avionics and HWIL teams.

The role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership, requiring strong communication, system-level thinking, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in software engineering with embedded or real-time focus.
• Experience with flight vehicles or safety-critical embedded systems.
• Proficient in C/C++ and real-time programming.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and verification of embedded flight software for hypersonic vehicles.
• Mentor and guide the flight software team and review engineering work.
• Develop real-time software for guidance, navigation, control, and mission management.
• Translate system requirements into flight software architecture and interfaces.
• Coordinate software development across internal teams and suppliers.
