Job summary

Fermi America urgently seeks a Senior Data Center Preconstruction Manager to own integrated schedule development, cost planning, and construction readiness for its hyperscale data center program. You will drive GMP development, bid processes, and scope alignment across design, procurement, and construction to deliver predictable execution.

This role acts as the connective tissue across multiple functions, reporting to the Head of DC Service & Delivery.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in preconstruction, construction management, or project delivery.
• Experience with hyperscale data center programs or large-scale industrial projects.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end preconstruction process for data center building packages.
• Develop integrated preconstruction schedules aligning design milestones, procurement, permitting, and start dates.
• Lead GMP development and negotiations with general contractors and trade partners.
• Drive construction readiness reviews ensuring permits, long-lead equipment, and subcontractor commitments are in place.
• Manage preconstruction budgets and cost estimates, aligning targets and commitments as packages progress.
• Coordinate with design and procurement to align scope and delivery commitments.
