Job summary

CBRE | DIRECTLINE in the United States is seeking an experienced cost estimator to support hyperscale data center projects. You will analyze blueprints and specs to develop accurate material, labor, and subcontractor costs, preparing detailed proposals and bid packages.

You will work with sales, project management, procurement, and the executive team to ensure cost effectiveness, manage scope changes, and produce timely change orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Certifications like CCEA or CPE may be beneficial.
• 3+ years in cost estimating large-scale hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and MS 365.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive estimates for materials, labor, engineering, and other expenses.
• Develop bid packages with pricing documentation and risk factors.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine full scope of work.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, procurement, and executives.
• Identify risks, monitor scope changes, and manage change orders.
