Job summary

Related Digital seeks an Electrical Subject Matter Expert to serve as the onsite technical authority for data center electrical infrastructure. The role bridges operations, design, construction and commissioning to ensure reliable, scalable and compliant power systems.

The eSME will balance hands-on field work with strategic guidance, influencing long-term electrical design, maintenance strategies and system improvements across our hyperscale platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or trade certification required.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems (LV/MV), UPS and battery systems.
• Experience with electrical protection and control systems and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with procedure-based operations in critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as onsite technical authority for electrical infrastructure with real-time operations focus.
• Oversee LV/MV power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, protection and control systems.
• Ensure maximum uptime, resiliency, and safe operation of mission-critical electrical systems.
• Lead or support troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical oversight from basis of design through commissioning and operations.
• Review designs, studies, and submittals (load flow, short circuit, arc flash).
• Support QA/QC of construction and retrofit projects; manage change processes.
• Collaborate with global teams to standardize controls strategies across sites.
