We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Gainesville, VA and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

The Electrical Subject Matter Expert is the foremost technical leader on electrical systems for their site, mentoring Critical Facility Engineers and owning reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in an electrical role in a mission critical environment.
• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology may be substituted for up to 4 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment.
• Willingness to pursue further qualifications and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Optimize the reliability and performance of electrical systems within data centers.
• Lead the team to operate, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
• Oversee preparation, execution, and quality control for all electrical work.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures (SOP/MOP/EOP).
• Lead root cause analysis for electrical events and issues.
• Manage vendor relationships for electrical system support.
• Train CFEs on electrical system fundamentals during initial qualification.
• Deliver formal classroom training on electrical systems to Operations teams.
• Foster a collaborative team culture to be the best data center operators.
