Job summary

Legacy Professional Services, LLC is seeking an MEP Engineer (Connectivity) to support the coordination, installation, integration, testing, and turnover of structured cabling, fiber optic, and low-voltage systems on hyperscale data center projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' experience in connectivity or related fields, plus strong knowledge of TIA/EIA, BICSI, and ability to read drawings and coordinate with MEP trades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in connectivity/low-voltage in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optics.
• Experience coordinating with MEP and other trades.
• Knowledge of TIA/EIA and BICSI standards.
• Experience fiber optic testing, copper certification, OTDR testing.
• Ability to read MEP/connectivity drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support installation of structured cabling, fiber, and low-voltage systems for hyperscale data centers.
• Coordinate connectivity with MEP systems for proper interfaces.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and coordination docs to identify requirements.
• Coordinate pathways, cable trays, penetrations, and equipment spaces with MEP systems.
• Document fiber testing, copper certification, and system validation activities.
• Maintain as-built drawings, test reports, and turnover packages.
