Job summary

Legacy Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Connectivity Engineer to support installation, integration, testing, and turnover of structured cabling, fiber optic, and low-voltage systems for hyperscale data center construction projects.

You will work with project managers, commissioning teams, QA/QC, IT stakeholders, and contractors to ensure connectivity infrastructure aligns with project specs and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of connectivity, low-voltage, telecommunications, or network infrastructure experience in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).
• Experience coordinating testing (fiber, copper certification, OTDR).
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs, diagrams, and documentation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Office and construction management software including Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, integration, and deployment of structured cabling, fiber optic, and low-voltage systems for hyperscale data center projects.
• Coordinate rack-and-stack activities and deployment of white space infrastructure.
• Review drawings, diagrams, specifications, submittals to ensure installation compliance.
• Verify installations meet project specs, manufacturer requirements, and standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).
• Coordinate and document fiber testing, copper certification, OTDR testing, and other validations.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams for integrated systems testing and readiness.
• Coordinate with contractors, IT teams, and other disciplines to resolve field issues and maintain schedules.
• Track materials, deliveries, testing, and project progress.
• Maintain as-built drawings, test reports, deficiency logs, turnover packages in Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam.
• Support final inspections, phasing turnovers, and owner handover.
