Job summary

Legacy Professional Services is seeking a Connectivity Engineer to support installation, integration, testing, and turnover of structured cabling, fiber, and low‑voltage systems for hyperscale data center builds.

You will work with project managers, commissioning teams, QA/QC, IT stakeholders, and contractors to ensure connectivity infrastructure meets project specs and industry standards, delivering reliable, scalable, commissioning‑ready networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Three+ years of experience supporting connectivity, low‑voltage, telecommunications, or network infrastructure projects in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, and industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).
• Experience coordinating testing activities (fiber, copper certification, OTDR).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, network diagrams, and technical docs.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software (Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Support installation, integration, and deployment of structured cabling, fiber optic, and low‑voltage systems for hyperscale data center projects.
• Coordinate rack‑and‑stack activities and deployment of white space infrastructure.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure installation compliance.
• Verify installations meet project specs, manufacturer requirements, and standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).
• Coordinate and document fiber testing, copper certification, OTDR testing, and other validation activities.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams for integrated system testing and readiness for client acceptance.
• Coordinate with connectivity contractors and IT teams to resolve field issues and maintain schedules.
• Track materials, deliveries, testing documentation, and project progress.
• Maintain as‑built drawings, test reports, and turnover packages using Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam, etc.
• Support final inspections, turnover activities, and owner handover.
