Job summary

Legacy Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Connectivity Engineer to support installation, integration, testing, and turnover of structured cabling and low-voltage systems for hyperscale data center projects. You will work with project managers, commissioning teams, QA/QC, IT stakeholders, and specialty contractors to ensure connectivity infrastructure meets project specs and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in connectivity, low-voltage, telecommunications, or network infrastructure projects in commercial construction.
• Knowledge of TIA/EIA and BICSI standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, integration, and deployment of structured cabling, fiber optic, and low-voltage systems for hyperscale data center projects.
• Coordinate rack-and-stack activities and white space infrastructure deployment.
• Review drawings, network diagrams, specs, submittals, and project documentation for installation compliance.
• Verify installations meet project specs, manufacturer requirements, TIA/EIA standards, and owner requirements.
• Coordinate and document fiber optic testing, copper certification, OTDR testing, and other validation activities.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams to support integrated testing and turnover readiness.
• Coordinate with connectivity contractors, IT teams, and other disciplines to resolve field issues and maintain schedules.
• Track materials, network hardware deliveries, testing documentation, and project progress.
• Maintain as-built drawings, test reports, deficiency logs, and turnover packages using Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam.
