Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Structured Cabling Installer to support cabling technicians on hyperscale data center projects in Utah. You will handle materials, install low voltage carrier systems, and prepare work areas.

The role requires basic construction/electrical experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 200 lbs with help as needed. You will work under supervision and collaborate with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some construction/electrical experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read safety regs and blueprints.
• Ability to use power and non-powered tools safely.
• Follow instructions and ask clarifying questions.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and safety.
• Lifts up to 200 lbs; team lift for heavier loads.
• Strong teamwork and customer-service orientation.
• Good communication and active listening.
• Comfort working in heat and varying weather.
• Frequent bending, crouching, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist cabling technicians on hyperscale data center projects.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit with hand tools.
• Safely use drills, crimpers, and cutters after training.
• Handle and supply materials to electrical trades.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and tools.
• Work under supervision according to procedures.
• Build positive relationships with diverse teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
