Job summary

Weitz is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Mission Critical team on a hyperscale data center project in Port Washington, WI. The role focuses on assisting with scheduling, subcontract management, change orders, and cost control to keep the project on schedule and within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 2-5 years of construction project management experience, lean principles familiarity, and a willingness to obtain OSHA certification.

Qualifications

• Industry-related college degree required or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years construction project management experience required.
• LEAN principles experience desirable; OSHA 10/30 preferred or willing to obtain.
• Data center construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Profitably manage a small project independently or with PM oversight.
• Assist with creating and updating project schedule.
• Negotiate and execute subcontract and vendor change orders within authority.
• Price owner change orders and approve pay applications.
• Assist in preconstruction and buy-out processes.
• Monitor materials and shipments to minimize schedule impacts.
• Ensure subcontract agreements are issued and followed.
• Provide monthly project status reports and risk assessments.
• Contribute to proposals and presentations as requested.
