Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center is seeking a Hyperbaric Tech to join our team in Sylva, NC. You will operate hyperbaric chambers, monitor patients, document treatment details in the EMR, and coordinate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure safe, effective wound care.

The role requires critical thinking, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the conclusion of a hyperbaric medicine introductory course within the first 90 days.

Qualifications

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must complete a Hyperbaric medicine introductory course within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

Maintain safety and operate hyperbaric chambers and related systems.
Complete patient documentation in EMR and communicate with nursing staff and physicians.
Prepare patients for treatment and monitor them during sessions.
Assist in scheduling, billing, and insurance verifications for wound care patients.
Contribute to accreditation and safety programs and maintain compliance with Healogics guidelines.
