Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is hiring a Hyperbaric Technician to join the team. The role requires critical thinking, effective English communication, and the ability to work in a high-stress clinical environment.

You will support hyperbaric chamber operations, patient care, and documentation throughout treatments. The position emphasizes safety, coordination with nursing staff and physicians, and ongoing training in hyperbaric medicine.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; must complete hyperbaric medicine introductory course within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or CMA/RMA certification or eligibility preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment as facility safety officer for hyperbaric chambers.
• Complete all documentation in EMR and communicate patient information to nursing staff and physician in charge.
• Assist in patient preparation for treatment and monitor patient condition during treatments.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly checks of hyperbaric chambers per guidelines and maintain equipment.
• Assist in scheduling wound care patients and assisting front office with patient communication.
