Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist to operate under leadership, ensuring compliant hyperbaric treatment delivery and departmental operations. The role emphasizes expertise in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, regulatory compliance, and independent work to safeguard patient care.

Responsibilities include delivering respiratory care, performing diagnostics, and educating patients and families across general and critical care settings. Relocation assistance is available for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP).
• CRT certification by NBRC required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification current or to be obtained within 6 months of hire (1 year in some locations).
• PALS certification current or within 6 months of hire.
• NRP certification current or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers respiratory care procedures to patients in general, acute, critical care, and emergency areas.
• Performs therapeutic modalities including monitoring, medication delivery, ventilation management, expansion therapy, and bronchial hygiene.
• Assists in CPR and emergency care with airway maintenance and cardiac support.
• Performs diagnostic testing including ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, bronchoscopy, and pulse oximetry.
• Develops care plans based on assessment and physician orders.
• Provides patient and family education and teaching.
