Job summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a Hyperbaric Chamber Operator to support a multi-site program in the Poughkeepsie area. The role requires documentation of a 40-hour NBDHMT–approved Introductory Hyperbaric Medicine Course and active clinical credentials across RN, LPN, RT, EMT or Paramedic scopes.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid state license or certification in qualifying credential (e.g., RN, LPN, RT, EMT or Paramedic)
• Maintenance of NBDHMT qualifying credential
• BCLS certification
• 40-hour NBDHMT Introductory Hyperbaric Medicine Course completion within required timeframe
• CHT certification within 365 days of eligibility
• 12 months of recent hyperbaric medicine experience preferred
• Working knowledge of relevant codes and regulations for hyperbaric facilities

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating hyperbaric patients.
• Manages day-to-day operation of the hyperbaric facility.
• Maintains competencies and certifications.
• Delivers patient care within scope of practice per credentials.
• Keeps complete patient records for assessment and treatment.
• Participates in quality assurance and safety programs.
• Collaborates with care team and attends rounds and discussions.
• Documents care and discharge planning with accurate details.
