Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid professional license/certification as noted in the credential section.
• Maintain NBDHMT qualifying credential as applicable to role.
• Hold a current BCLS certificate.
• Document successful completion of the 40-hour NBDHMT Intro Course.
• CHT certification expected within 365 days of eligibility.
• At least 12 months of recent practical hyperbaric medicine experience.
• Understand codes and regulations governing hyperbaric facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordination of hyperbaric patients.
• Assists in day-to-day operation of the hyperbaric facility.
• Maintains competencies, continuing education, and certifications.
• Performs patient care within licensed scope (RN/LPN/RT/EMT/Paramedic).
• Keeps complete patient records for assessment, treatments, and care.
• Participates in quality assurance programs as requested.
• Participates in safety program.
• Participates in committees and task forces as requested.
• Engages in discussion/review of hyperbaric oxygen literature.
