Job summary

Helix Workforce Solutions is seeking a Hyperbaric Medical Assistant Trainee (HMA-T). You will rotate between wound care and hyperbaric chamber, learning through a company-funded path to CHS and CHWS credentials over about two years, under licensed clinicians.

EMT-credentialed candidates are strongly preferred. Under supervision, you prepare patients, assist with wound procedures, record vitals and documentation in the EHR, and support day-to-day wound-floor operations while following safety

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification and MA certification/registration required.
• BLS current at hire, or earned within the first week.
• Comfortable in a clinical environment with direct patient contact.
• Follow written protocol exactly; chamber work is a zero-shortcut discipline.
• Meet fitness-for-pressure-exposure standards for inside attendants.
• All pre-employment requirements per UrgentFlex HR Baseline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms; assist providers during wound procedures.
• Record vitals, patient history, and visit documentation in the EHR.
• Support the RN Clinical Lead in day-to-day wound-floor operations.
• Tend patients through hyperbaric treatments under supervision.
• Log clinical hours and complete Trainual modules on schedule.
• Deliver the patient experience standard: attention, dignity, and calm.
