The Potomac River Tunnel project is a landmark initiative under the Clean Rivers Project. The project aims to construct a nearly 5.5 miles tunnel beneath the Potomac River with 2 different TBM, serving as a critical infrastructure element to control combined sewer overflows. This will significantly enhance the water quality of the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers and Rock Creek while bolstering the sewer system’s capacity.
The Hyperbaric Adit Works Manager is responsible for the highest risk and most technical elements of the tunnel scope. During excavation, you’ll manage hyperbaric interventions, cutting tool strategy across two TBM drives, and slurry treatment plant performance. As the drives complete, you will take construction responsability for the adit works, which are prepared in parallel and executed once the TBMs are through.
