Job summary

Waterbury Dental Care in Waterbury, CT is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team. We value quality care in a relaxed environment and welcome recent graduates.

Responsibilities include prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, X-rays, patient education, and maintaining charts; must hold CT RDH license and an accredited hygiene degree. Standard office hours apply; benefits include insurance and 401(k).

Responsibilities

  • Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants.
  • Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession.
  • Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visit by evaluating patient’s oral health.
  • Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions.
  • Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts.
  • Sterilization of equipment.
  • Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA.

Currently, we are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidate should have a strong work-ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed!

Specific Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Requirements

  • Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
  • Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined:

  • Monday - 8AM - 6PM
  • Wednesday - 9AM - 6PM
  • Thursday - 9AM - 6PM
  • Friday - 9AM - 5PM
