Job summary

Smile Starters Dental in Hickory, NC, is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) licensed in NC with CPR certification for a full-time role. You will provide pediatric-focused hygiene care to ages 1–21 in a collaborative, bright environment.

You’ll review medical histories, take and interpret x-rays, perform scaling and polishing, write chart notes in the EHR, assist dentists during exams, and present treatment plans for parental consent.

Qualifications

• NC Dental Hygienist License is required.
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical histories with patients and guardians.
• Take dental x-rays as appropriate.
• Perform teeth scaling and polishing.
• Write chart notes and maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Assist dentists with charting during exams.
• Obtain parental consent for sealants and procedures.
• Present treatment plans to parents/guardians and obtain consent.
• Write referrals and communicate with dental colleagues as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Support the dental team with other duties as assigned.
